New Low Profile Hermetically Sealed Load Cell Saves on Space and Maintenance

San Dimas, CA, July 11, 2001 - Muse Measurements, innovator in load and force sensors, today announced the immediate availability of the M7200 Universal Load Cell Series - a solid-state, hermetically sealed design with a 300% overload rating. The M7200 is easily installed on any existing container or table to provide intrinsically safe weight measurements for up to 10,000 pounds per cell. Available as a complete scale kit or individual sensors, the stainless steel load cell is ideal for pharmaceutical, fine chemical, food, as well as bulk solid weighing applications in paper, metal, and mining.

Especially important for continuous fill operations of packages or containers where vibrations and shocks are common, the M7200 has many features for long, accurate operation such as self-leveling with moment and off-axis load-correction ensuring precise weight measurements. This Universal Load Cell Series has a shielded, field-replaceable assembly that significantly reduces the amount of down time for maintenance or repair for such common failures as crimped cables or bad electrical connections.

Packaged in a palm-sized stainless steel, FM approved and nitrogen-filled housing that fits many process weighing applications, the M7200's small size translates to simple conversions of small-size buckets, bins, tables, and other containers or platforms into scales that were previously impractical for weighing due to current cumbersome cells. Measured values are produced in industry-standard mV outputs that allow easy conversion to quantity of parts, volume of liquids or powders, and other diverse applications.

Contrary to its visually compacted size, each M7200 is rated to weigh up to 10,000 pounds with a 300% overload providing safe operation. For higher weights, multiple units can be used and the weights summed. Larger versions are also available.
