Low-Profile Load Cell Provides Unique Advantage For Static and Dynamic Weighing Applications All Stainless Steel Load Cell Features Mounting Innovation

San Dimas, CA, January 06, 2006 - Muse Measurements announces the 7200 series Mini Bear Pad load cell, a low profile, mounted solution for vessels or conveyors, process control, batching and all industrial weighing applications including clean applications such as food and pharmaceutical.

The load cell comes with a base plate (standard) and attaches directly to the vessel or conveyor via either a single 1/2 inch or 5/8 inch screw mounting kit with grommets and locking washers or an optional top mounting plate. With this new technology, common placement problems associated with top pins, links, fix or floating mounts are eliminated. In addition, the standard base mounting plate has elongated bolt holes for ease of orientation. For restricted space concerns, this low-profile load cell may be affixed with load plate spherical washers. To overcome engineering challenges, the Mini Bear Pads have been mounted in multiple ways including upside down and even sideways. Available in 1,000 -10,000 lb. capacities, the load cell stands at only 1.75 inches and is the same physical size for all capacities.

Additional innovations include a unique internal spoke design which is moment-corrected to compensate for eccentric and torsional loading errors that can occur with thermal expansion, misalignment or movement from dynamic loading. The Mini Bear Pad's all stainless steel construction is designed to perform in harsh, wet, clean, dirty, dusty, even high seismic areas, and is California Seismic Zone 4 Compliance rated.* The 7200's are dependable and impervious to high-pressure wash down.

The 7200 Mini Bear Pads are rated 100% safe overload in all directions, including side and a 200% ultimate compression overload. They are self checking with lift off protection of 100% of full scale with a safe operating temperature of 0-180º F.  Each 7200 comes with a field-replaceable cable with threaded lock connectors eliminating the necessity of buying a new load cell if a cable is damaged, crimped or cut during installation or operation.
